Coffee may keep you going.

Coffee Study worth reading during your Coffee break

Coffee can be a real life saver on those days when you’re just dragging
and can’t seem to wake up or be alert.
Now a new study shows your cup of Joe can be a literal life saver, too.
Harvard School of Public Health found those who drink between two and
four cups a day have a nearly 50 percent reduced risk of suicide.

After looking at and analyzing data from over 200,000 subjects,
researchers concluded that caffeine was responsible for almost
halving suicide rates in a group of people that drank caffeinated beverages.
Nearly 80 percent of those drinks were in the form of coffee.

“Unlike previous investigations, we were able to assess association of
consumption of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, and
we identify caffeine as the most likely candidate of any putative protective effect of coffee,”
said lead researcher Michel Lucas, in a press statement.

How does the caff provide these protective effects?
Caffeine is a stimulant that may act as a mild antidepressant by boosting levels of
serotonin, dopamine, and noradrenaline in the brain, explain the authors.
The study was published in The World Journal of Biological Psychiatry in early July.

Yoli Celebrates Second Birthday
As Yoli Australia and Yoli Malaysia open.

On November 6, 2011 Yoli’s marked the second year since it's
emergence in the market. From the beginning the company has
experienced phenomenal growth, the last four months of which have
broken many records. Referring to itself as “The Better Body Company,”
Yoli has introduced many different products during that time
including Alkalete to support bone health, Thermo-G which promotes
weight loss and helps stimulate the metabolism, and Alkasure which
helps maintain cholesterol and blood sugar. Yoli also has a
compensation plan that rewards high performing members with free products,
travel packages, and even luxury cars.

Yoli was founded by Robby Fender, Daren Falter, Michael Prichard,
Corey Citron, and Bobby Jones all of whom have had previous experience
building networking organizations of several thousand to hundreds of
thousands of people. Regarding the two-year milestone, Mr. Fender said,
“As I sit here and reflect on what has happened over the past 24 months
one word truly describes how I feel at this moment. That word is ‘gratitude.’
I am so grateful for the team of people who represent Yoli - The Better Body Company… We are all very blessed to be a part of something bigger than us.
Yoli The Better Body Company is and will continue to bring
massive value to the market place.”

Sales Up

(NaturalNews) Sales of alternative medical products are on the rise in spite of -- and perhaps in part because of -- tough economic times.

According to a study reported in The Daily Mail, the British alternative medicines market has grown by 18 percent in the past two years, to a yearly value of £213 million ($333 million). This value is expected to rise to £282million, or another 33 percent, in the next four years. This increase has been seen across the board, even in less well-known treatments such as traditional Indian ayurvedic medicine.

In the United States, retail sales of vitamins and supplements totaled almost $639 million between October and December 2009, a nearly 10 percent increase from the same period in 2007. Sales of herbal supplements have increased 6 percent. The true scale might even be higher, as the figures do not include sales from Wal-Mart or club stores, where people are more likely to turn when there budgets become more restricted.

This increase is particularly striking given the overall downward trajectory of spending in that same time period.

Is Anti Aging more than skin deep?

Is Anti Aging more than skin deep?

Sure how we look is important for our vanity.
The question I have is do we have enough consideration for how cells
through out the body age if not given the essential nutrients?
How to maximise the longevity of all cells age is important I believe. http://max4me.blogspot.com

The Vitamin Business is Thriving

The Vitamin Business is Thriving

Since the onset of the recession, retail has been ice cold
out according to the Nutrition Business Journal, sales of
supplements rose at a 4.9 percent annual rate between
2001- 2008 and should rise 5.8 percent this year.

A $25 billion industry, VMS (vitamins, minerals, supplements)
have benefited from the recent economic cataclysm in a few ways.
First some Americans are focusing more on their health. As they kick
habits that are either bad or expensive (or both), they're smoking less,
buying less soda, and cutting back on calorie-laden treats at Starbucks
and the convenience store. Vitamins and supplements are a key
component of a healthier lifestyle.
VMS sales are also benefitting from one of the most powerful
commercial forces in the history of planet Earth: the baby boomers.
As they get older, the boomers—already a narcissistic bunch—are
growing ever-more obsessed with their health and wellness.
Just as they caused bubbles in marijuana in the 1960s and disco balls
in the 1970s, baby boomers are now causing sales of vitamins to spike.
"We believe that one of the primary trends driving the industry is
consumption by the over-50 demographic, including Baby Boomers …
who seek to improve their health and wellness and treat and
prevent disease and illness,"
